Gillian Wray invites you to share her family home, where you will be made to feel most welcome. Ashes Barn is a recent barn conversion which offers all the comforts of modern life combined with the character of a traditional Lake District building. Set in the heart of the countryside the house enjoys delightful rural views. Watch the sheep being driven past the lounge window or delight in the breathtaking sunset over the nearby hills. |
| Great care is taken with the quality of food that is provided for guests. Much of this is cooked on the kitchen's Aga, including home made bread, biscuits and cakes. Wherever possible use is made of quality local produce. Tasty evening meals and substantial packed lunches are available by arrangement. In the winter Gillian runs tailor made Aga cookery breaks, which are particularly suited to those discovering the delights of the Aga for the first time. |  |
